One of the most successful Canadian real estate developers is Sam Mizrahi. Born in Poland, he came to Canada at the age of 12. He studied architecture and became the CEO of Cadillac Fairview, which would later lead him to found his own company, Daniels Corp. In 1982, he transformed a former Goodyear Tire factory into condos, which are now the tallest buildings in Vancouver. He is also an active philanthropist, sitting on the boards of organizations including B’nai Brith Canada and the United Jewish Appeal.

He also supports a variety of nonprofits, including a Jewish school and the National Art Gallery of Canada.
His recent projects include a super-tall building in Toronto called ‘The One’. The structure will be 300 meters high, making it Canada’s tallest building. However, the CN Tower will remain the tallest structure in the country. This is not to say that Mizrahi has no plans to rest on his laurels.
