Boxing News Review

UFA บริการ 24 ชั่วโมง in 1909, Boxing News (or BN) is the longest-running boxing magazine in the world. Originally published weekly, it has been monthly since 2009. It is read by fans and fighters around the world. It covers all aspects of UK and world boxing, from heavyweight champions like Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk to pound-for-pound stars such as Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford.

The magazine features interviews with many of the sport’s biggest stars. It also provides analysis of current events in the sport, and includes a regular column from the legendary Hugh McIlvanney. The magazine often gives its opinion on the big fights, whether that’s on a technical level or a broader commercial perspective.

Emerging Stars: Boxers to Watch in the Upcoming Season

Boxing News regularly produces special issues of the magazine when a major event takes place, such as the Floyd Mayweather v Manny Pacquiao bouts or Carl Froch v George Groves. Featured in these issues are exclusive interviews with the two stars as well as a preview of the fight and predictions.

Some famous writers have tried their hand at boxing, such as Paul Gallico, who sparred with amateur light heavyweight Jose Torres and Ernest Hemingway who tormented Ezra Pound by forcing him to take part in a boxing match at his Paris apartment. But for most journalists, the ring is the last place they want to be. For this reason, it is no surprise that Sports Illustrated have axed their entire – or at least large proportion of – fighting section.
